Boys death - quad bike safety

Wednesday, April 09, 2014

The death of a 12-year-old boy in a quad bike accident near Gladstone on Tuesday has again led to calls for governments to introduce tougher safety measures for the popular farm vehicles. The boy is the fifth person to die in a quad bike accident this year and the second child. Tony Lower from the Australian Centre for Agricultural Health and Safety says quad bikes are the leading cause of death on Australian farms.
